From MELT ME to RANDOme

Melt Me – Palermo, I-Design 2015

MELT ME, one of the ideas developed at the Laboratory of Industrial Design (by Dario Russo  UNIPA) by the student Luca Pellerito, on display at ZAC, October 13 to 25, was still a prototype; elegant, fun and multifunctional. But the number of components, the material (mostly wood), the secondary function (“fondutiera” contact of the materials with heat sources), prevented MELT ME from becoming a product. It was necessary to reduce its diameter and increase its height. The box of chocolates (even the lantern and “fondutiera”) was made into a bottle container, the element of a modular stochastic structure, the singular space of a wine cellar door: RANDOme, a new product on MYOP.
